James Newton Howard to Score “Jumanji” Sequel

According to Film Music Reporter, Academy Award nominated composer James Newton Howard is set to write the score for the upcoming “Jumanji” Sequel which is directed by Jake Kasdan and features a cast including Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillian and Jack Black.

Joe Johnston’s original 1995 Jumanji movie was scored by James Horner. The Jumanji sequel is set to be released on July 27, 2017 by Sony Pictures and will be a great opportunity for JNH to show how excellent he is at writing music in fantasy/adventure mode.
